This
page of "Family Photos" was formerly a combined genealogy page. It has had over 4,000 hits since I put it
up in 2002. The volume of text was growing so large, technical issues required me to split the data up into several
seperate pages. I hope you find it useful. Please feel free to comment on errors or omissions.

Dad's
paternal ancestors, the Poorman's, came to Lancaster County (Warwick Township) from the Germanic Region before 1700... his
Mother's ancestors, the Ryan's, from Ireland (Green).
Mom's paternal ancestors, the Halls, came from England to New
Jersey... her Mother's, the Downs, from Ireland (Orange).
But, Mother's paternal side was actually Wertz (Germany)
by blood (adoption between a Wertz brother and sister).
(But, I do like a lot of lime in my Bloody Mary's???)

Saint Mary of the Assumption 172 Conarroe Street,
Manayunk Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19127 Reverend John J. Sibel, Ph.D., Pastor Where I converted to RC on April
3,1999 Thanks to my wife, Diane M. Hansberry

I started
out next door at the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Castanea PA, which later became United Methodist. Then went to
First Church of Christ in Lock Haven for my teenage years. Then moved to the Altoona Bible Church on Union Avenue in Altoona.
Finally, I converted to Roman Catholicism on April 3, 1999, at the Vigil Mass at Saint Mary of the Assumption in Manayunk,
Philadelphia, PA. Thank God for my wife, Diane, and thank you Father Sibel. Diane's Mother and Father were there, as well
as Bob and Alice. I think Great Aunt Mary was there too, in spirit, and she died four days later. Her Funeral Mass by Father
Neil Dady at St. Agnes in Lock Haven was the most moving Mass. Our cousin, Sister Borgia, was there. Aunt Mary always used
to look forward to her visits. I remember the photo of Joan O'Donnell, Sr. Borgia, in her Habit over Aunt Mary's bookcase.
Then on April 26, 1999, Diane and I were married in The Church by Father Sibel. Present were Sister Mary Agnes, who taught
me the Blessings of the Lord and His Church in RCIA, and Tracy and Joan who witnessed for us. I was sorry to see Sr. Mary
Agnes transfer. I miss seeing her and hearing her play the organ at Mass. I remember when Crystal sat on her lap once and
Sister explained her Habit to her. Crystal & Diana always go over to the life sized Piata and touch it when we go to Mass
at St. Mary's. Subsequently we became active at our local Parish, St. Francis of Assisi in Norristown, PA, where we serve
on the sick & homebound committee, and I am a charter member and Treasurer of our new Knights of Columbus Council 13662, and
I am facilitator of the Safe Environment training program for adults, and serve on the RCIA committee.
